This course is for adults with moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities who wish to find employment in a retail/customer services setting.
Students help to run the Student Accessories Shop at the Clapham Centre which enables them to gain practical work skills.
Course content:
- Employability skills
- External work placements and enterprise
- Retail and customer service
- Independence for employment
- Health and Safety at work
- Functional skills - English, Maths, ICT
After this course: Voluntary or paid employment or further employment training.
This course is suitable for students who have a learning difficulty and/or disability.
Students should have a desire to work in a retail/customer services setting and have previous work experience in retail or customer service.
