This course is for adults with moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities who wish to work in a cafe or catering environment.
Students help to run the cafe at the Brixton Centre which enables them to gain practical work skills.
Course content:
- Food Preparation
- Functional skills for employment
- Customer service
- External work placements and enterprise
- Food hygiene and safety (CIEH Level 2 Qualification)
After this course: Employment or further training.
This course is suitable for students who have a learning difficulty and/or disability.
Students should have an Entry Level Catering certificate with experience in catering and a desire to work.
A food hygiene certificate is desirable.
