About the course
This course helps learners to develop the skills and theoretical knowledge required for Carpentry and Joinery.
Course content:
- Safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods and construction technology
- Carrying out first and second fixing operations
- Erection of structural carcassing
- Carrying out maintenance
- Setting up a circular saw
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification, employment or an apprenticeship.
Full time:
Level 1 in Carpentry and Joinery.
Part time:
Students need to have the above and should be self-employed or working in this area.
