This course introduces learners to the responsibilities of being a parent and covers the welfare and care of babies and young children and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Course content:
- Rights and responsibilities in relation to parenting
- Parenting and healthy lifestyles
- Parenting a young baby
- Respecting and valuing children
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification
Level 1 qualification or equivalent in the initial College assessment. Learners must be aged over 16.
