Plumbing - CG NVQ Level 2 Diploma

This course helps students to develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for plumbing.

Additional cost for PPE: There will be an additional cost of £15 for the purchase of personal protective equipment including boots and overalls (applicable to the trade area). You will need this equipment before starting any workshop class.

Course content:

• Safe working practices, environmental legislation and communication skills
• Pipework for hot and cold water systems
• Pipework for central heating systems
• Rainwater systems
• Ground drainage systems
• Maintenance of the above systems

After this course: Continued employment in the industry with the opportunity to become a registered plumber after completing a Water Regulations qualification or progession to Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and heating to become a fully qualified plumber.

You must be employed as a plumber and have 2 GCSE passes (Grades A* - D). If you have not achieved a grade D or above in Maths you must achieve a level 1 pass in the initial College assessment.
