Performance (Acting) - BTEC Level 2 Diploma

If you believe you have star quality and are interested in a career as an actor then this could be the course for you!

About the course: This course helps students to develop the skills and knowledge required for drama, performance or arts administration at an intermediate level with a particular focus on acting. There are considerable performance opportunities on the course.

Course content:

• Production project and a joint performance
• Performing dance
• Performing scripted plays
• Performing music (singing and musical instruments)
• Acting
• The Performing Arts business
• Functional skills – English, Maths

After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification or employment.

Students need to have 4 GCSE passes (Grades A*- E).

If you have not achieved a Grade D or above in English or Maths you will need a Level 1 pass in the initial College assessment.

You will be required to attend both an audition and interview.
