This course helps students to develop the skills and knowledge required to plan, install, maintain and troubleshoot software and hardware, and provides the opportunity to develop the necessary interpersonal skills to work with customers.
Course content:
- Supporting the acquisition of ICT systems
- Installation of networked hardware and software
- Installation and configuration of software
- Customer support provision
- Administering Windows XP Professional
- Implementing ICT Security Policy
After this course: Employment.
Students need to have 4 GCSE passes (Grades A* - C) or a level 2 vocational qualification and English or Maths at level 2 in the initial College assessment. Relevant previous knowledge of PC Maintenance and ICT systems is required.
