This course helps students to develop the skills and knowledge required to install, maintain and troubleshoot software and hardware, and provides the opportunity to develop the necessary interpersonal skills to work with customers.
Course content:
- Service and support for PCs and peripherals
- Installation and maintenance of PC equipment, systems and software
- Customer skills for IT services
- Health and safety
- Networking
- English and Maths
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification or employment.
Students need to have 2 GCSE passes (Grades A* - D) or a Level 1 vocational qualification.
If you have not achieved a grade D or above in English or Maths you will need a level 1 pass in the initial College assessment.
