This course is for learners who are employed as a painter and decorator who would like a qualification in work competency.
Course content:
Safe working practices in construction
Information, quantities and communicating with others
Building methods and construction technology
Preparation of surfaces for decorating
Applying paint systems by brush and roller
Applying standard paper to wall and ceiling
Producing specialist decorative finishes
Applying water born paint system using HVLP spray equipment
Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification.
You must be over the age of 16 and employed in a painting and decorating role.
Learners will submit a portfolio of evidence supported by photographic written and observation testimonies. At least two site visits will be arranged.
