This course helps learners to develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required for painting and decorating.
Course content:
- Safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods and construction technology
- Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms
- Applying paint systems by brush and roller
- Applying hangings to walls and ceilings
- Producing specialist decorative finishes
- Specialist architectural feature work
- Applying water born paint systems using airless equipment
- Preparation of surfaces for decoration
After this course: Employment or promotion.
Full time:
Level 2 in Painting and Decorating.
Part time:
Students need to have the above and should be self-employed or working in this area.
