About the course:
This course helps students to develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to be a professional maintenance operative.
Course content:
- Painting and decorating
- Bricklaying/masonry
- Carpentry
- Plastering and rendering
- Plumbing
- Use of handheld power tools
- Use of access equipment - static and mobile towers
- Safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods and construction technology
After this course: Progression to level 2 qualification, employment or an apprenticeship.
Students need to have Level 1 Introduction to Maintenance Operations and should be self-employed or working in this area or have some on site experience.
