This course covers all aspects of hairdressing and provides learners with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for working in the industry. Learners will learn how to carry out services on European hair and Afro-Caribbean type hair.
Course content:
- Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
- Drying and setting technique
- Cutting
- Colouring
- Perming and neutralising
- Styliing and dressing Afro-Caribbean type hair
- Relaxing Afro-Caribbean type hair
- Client consultation
- Working in the hair industry
- Health and safety
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification, an apprenticeship or employment.
Level 1 in Hairdressing or a Level 1 in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy (Introduction).
