About the course:
This course provides learners with an introduction to work in the hair and beauty sector with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required for working in the industry.
- Structure and working practices of the hair and beauty sector
- Health, safety and security in the workplace
- Skin and nail care
- Styling women and men's hair
- Plaiting and twisting
- Art of photographic make up
- English, Maths, ICT and Personal and Social Development Award
Please note: Prior to starting the course learners are expected to purchase their own uniform and beauty kit, costing approximately £70, which they will keep when they finish the course and use in their future career.
After this course: Progression to Level 2 qualification or an apprenticeship.
Entry level 3 in English or Maths or achieve an equivalent level in the initial College assessment.
