Hair and Beauty Sector (Introduction) - CG Level 1 Diploma

This course provides learners with an introduction to working in the hair and beauty sector and the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required for working in the industry

Course content:

• Structure and working practices of the hair and beauty sector
• Health, safety and security in the workplace
• Skin and nail care
• Styling women's and men's hair
• Plaiting and twisting
• Art of photographic make up
• English, Maths, ICT and Personal and Social Development Award

Please note: Prior to starting the course learners are expected to purchase their own uniform and beauty kit, costing approximately £70, which they will keep when they finish the course and use in their future career.

After this course: Progression to Level 2 qualification or apprenticeship

Entry level 3 in English or Maths or achieve an equivalent level in the initial College assessment.
