This course involves reading, writing, listening and speaking. Although these are language skills, there is a strong element of literature. Students are also required to do some personal writing about their feelings and experiences as well as writing of a more practical nature.

After this course: Progression to Level 3 qualification.
GCSE in English (Grade D) or equivalent level in the initial College assessment.
