The qualifications in awareness of dementia and dementia care are aimed at occupational areas across all service user groups and ages, working in statutory (including NHS), private and voluntary agencies.
Course content: The units provide valuable accreditation of knowledge and skills for candidates in the area of dementia care. They are designed to help meet the dementia strategies for the UK and so improve health and care services supporting individuals diagnosed with dementia.
You must be over the age of 18 and employed in a relevant work setting. Students may be required to take the initial College assessment in literacy and numeracy.
