These QCF units in awareness of dementia and dementia care are aimed at employed people working in various occupational areas across all service user groups and ages and working in statutory (including NHS), private and voluntary agencies.
Course content: There are four learning outcomes to this unit.
- Understanding what dementia is
- Understanding key features of the theoretical models of dementia
- Knowing the most common types of dementia and their causes
- Understanding factors relating to an individual's experience of dementia
You must be over the age of 18 and employed in a relevant work setting.
