This course helps students to develop bench joinery skills at an intermediate level.
Additional cost for PPE: There will be an additional cost of £15 for the purchase of personal protective equipment which are boots and overalls applicable to the trade area. You will need this equipment before starting any workshop class.
Course content:
- Safe working practice
- Building methods and construction technology
- Circular saw operation
- Routine joinery production e.g. under stairs cupboard
After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification, employment or an advanced apprenticeship.
Students need to have level 1 in Carpentry and Joinery and should be self-employed or working in this area.
